CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT The Tenement Museum The Tenement Museum opened in 1988 and preserves and interprets the history of immigration through the personal experiences of the generations of newcomers who settled in and built lives on Manhattan's Lower East Side, America's iconic immigrant neighborhood; forges emotional connections between visitors and immigrants past and present; and enhances appreciation for the profound role immigration has played and continues to play in shaping America's evolving national identity. The Tenement Museum Enhances Visitor Experience with Altru The Tenement Museum was looking to provide a better experience for its donors and visitors. The staff reached out to Blackbaud with the goal of streamlining its booking process and finding an easier way to cultivate donors and supporters, collect information, and follow up with visitors. The Museum's guided tours are limited to 15 visitors per tour. Until recently, there was no way for visitors to view up-to-date tour availability online, which meant people showing up for a tour often had to leave due to lack of space. So, the Museum built a new, user-friendly website and implemented Altru for its ticketing, fundraising, and membership. Migrating to Altru allowed the Museum to integrate its website with its ticketing solution, and as a result, website visitors have a "Since making the switch to Altru, 70% of sales now happen online or through the advanced sales call center.
