CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT Gibbes Museum of Art Since it first opened to the public in 1905, the Gibbes Museum of Art has sought to bridge the old with the new, to mix tradition and innovation. Located in Charleston, South Carolina, the Museum's mission is to enhance lives through art by engaging people of every background and experience with art and artists of enduring quality; collect and preserve art that touches Charleston; and provide opportunities to learn about, enjoy, discover, and be inspired by the creative process. Gibbes Museum of Art Uses Altru to Advance Operational Practices The museum struggled without a comprehensive view of its supporters and needed a single solution for tracking and reporting in order to avoid duplicate staff work. Leadership chose Altru, the platform that could unite their organization and streamline team processes so staff could focus on events and visitors. "Altru has provided us with a single platform for managing our programs and ticket sales," shared Executive Director Angela Mack. "Altru's point-of-sale system was a vast improvement to what we were previously using," she continued. Leadership knew this factor would become all the more important as they looked to expand the museum. In 2014, the Gibbes museum broke ground on a large renovation project that greatly increased the size of its exhibition spaces and the variety of experiences offered to visitors and supporters. The staff's ticketing and fundraising solution needed to scale with the museum's growth and its influx of new visitors. Altru "I chose Altru for its single source of information, which advances operational practices and enriches strategic, fiscal decision making." — Angela Mack, Executive Director Gibbes Museum is powered by • Altru ® Learn more 800.443.9441 March 2017
